East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. is making a crossing channel or locally known as sodetan on Jalan Sunan Giri, Rawamangun, Pulogadung. It is made to anticipate inundation at a later time.

It's targeted to be done in mid-February 2018

East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept.'s Maintenance Section Head, Yoserizal said sodetan is made to follow up public aspiration. If not, it will trigger inundation as high as 40 centimeters when it rains.

"It is hoped to be able to anticipate inundation in the future," he stated, Thursday (1/24).

He assessed, sodetan project that spends Rp 50 million has 12 meters long with 40 centimeters diameter. It is constructed in evening in order to avoid severe congestion. 

"It's targeted to be done in mid-February 2018," he told.
